Anatomics produced the world's first BioModel of an unborn child.
Since then, several exact replicas of fetal faces have been made
from 3D Ultrasound using specially written software to convert the
4D "time volumes" to a set of 2D images for the BioBuild
System to replicate.

Such BioModels can facilitate the early detection of facial clefts
and other natal deformities, thus assisting antenatal diagnosis
and parent counseling. They can also be used to hardcopy a pregnancy
ultrasound as a permanent record more intuitive than ultrasound
film or video.
Anatomics will be undertaking collaborative research in Fetal
BioModelling with Mother's Hospitals throughout Australia.
