The ability to closely study an overview of complex cerebrovascular
anatomy from any perspective on a solid BioModel can enhance a surgeon's
understanding, particularly when conventional images are equivocal.
Cerebrovascular BioModels can be useful when positioning the patient's
head for surgery, for selecting the best aneurysm clip, and for
simulation of clipping. Complex abnormal anatomy can be mapped using
a BioModel for immediate intra-operative reference, providing enhanced
visualisation without the need for traditional imaging. Patient
informed consent can also be improved by using the intuitive visualisation
medium that is BioModelling.
